Train Door Solutions has designed and supplied a new valve module and electronic controller for Class 170 interior door system. The project was sponsored by Porterbrook Leasing and is currently in service with London Eastern Railways and Trans Pennine Express.

The new system interfaces with the existing door mechanism and is controlled by the existing door open sensors, pushbuttons and smoke detector (where fitted). All new components have proven service history and are manufactured on behalf of TDS by the industries top suppliers.

The parts from TDS will improved the reliability and performance of the door system. Functionality and safety of the system has been maintained. Atkins Rail has independently reviewed the door system upgrade against mandatory requirements and has concluded that it does not impact on any group standards.

The parts are provided with a full 12 months warranty.

The system consists of the following new parts:

• Valve Module
• Electronic Control Unit
• Close Position Switch
• Isolator Switch
• Air Regulator and Isolator Valve
• Door Actuator
• All necessary Fittings and Tubing
