In September 2015, TDS were invited by partners Nabtesco for a visit to Japan and to see their state of the art production facilities. This turned out to be an exciting and interesting few days.
Warmly welcomed by Mr Imuta, Head of Transportation & Mr Kaneko, Head of Nabtesco / Oclap Italy, TDS were given guided tours of the Nabtesco Kobe Plant to see the design and production facilities and meet the people involved in the production of their products. The Kobe plant is where the door mechanism for the prestigious UK project IEP are being manufactured.
This visit was memorable in many ways, but particularly for our conversations about the exciting new developments in train system technologies and the hospitality and generosity shown by our hosts.
